798 Art District
East Village is known as the 798 Factory Art District. It is considered as the prime art zone in Beijing with galleries, studios, restaurants and cafe’s. In the past the buildings were state owned factories. One of the buildings was Factory 798. The art zone started in 2002. They estimate that 75 million visitors have been in the area. The entrance is free. Most galleries are closed on monday. Opening hours are 10.00-18.00.

798 Art District located in the northeast of Beijing. The address is 4 Jiuxianqiao Rd in the Chaoyang District. Subway: take Line 14 to Jiangtai, exit A.
