Sichuan hotel
The Sichuan Hotel is located in downtown Chengdu and consist of three parts: Main Building (159 rooms), South Wing (141 rooms) and West Wing (160 rooms). The Main Building is next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel and is the most expensive. The South Building is in Beixin Street. The West Building is in Shuwa Road.

Sichuan hotel West Building has 5 floors and 160 guest rooms. In the reception area is a small lobby with a few chairs and a travel desk. The staff at the reception speaks a little bit English.
Location near shopping streets
The West Wing is situated in ShuWa North, 2nd Street. Distance to the Main Building is 300m. ShuWa Street North is a side road from the busy thoroughfare Zongfu Road. Around the hotel are several small grocerie shops with cold drinks and food. Nearby is main shopping street Chunxi Road (500m).
Chinese breakfast
The breakfast room is simple and located on the ground floor. The Chinese food is in buffet style and very reasonable with vegetables, meat and rice. There is also a cook in the breakfast room who makes noodles and eggs. Besides Chinese food, there are tosti’s, some cakes and (pretty bad) coffee. Tourists who look for a decent Western breakfast will find little choice in the West Building.
Hotel room
In the Sichuan Hotel West Building we booked the Deluxe Double Room for 398 Yuan. This was a nice and clean room with a soft doublebed, glass work desk, lazy chair, lcd television and coffee/tea facilities. The free wired internet connection was reliable during our 6 nights stay. Two bottles of mineral water were included in the room price every night.
Transportation
Taxi’s pass often the hotel. To the busy Zongfu Road (bus, taxi) is 200 meter. Nearest subway is ‘Chunxi Road’ and Tianfu Square. To both stations is about 1000m. To the North Train Station is 10km. A taxi from the airport to Sichuan Hotel (18km) is about 55 Yuan.
