Shopping in Chunxi Road
Chunxi Road is in downtown Chengdu not far away from Tianfu Square
It is the main shopping area in Chengdu and was built in 1924. The street is nowadays a modern pedestrian zone with shopping malls, stores, restaurants and fast food chains. At night, huge billboards show advertisements of famous brands. Chunxi Road consist of several zones: north section, south section, west section and east section. At the intersection Chunxi Rd/Zongfu Road is Wangfujing Plaza.. Parallel to Chunxing Road is Hongxing Road 3rd Section (300 meter walking). In this road is the IFS mall with Pada, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Dolce Gabana and Valentino.
Kowloon Plaza
In one of the side roads (Chunxi west/Qingnian Road) is the Kowloon Plaza. This is a famous shopping mall of 11 stores with hundreds of small clothing stores. Bargaining is important here because in most shops are no price tags. If you have no idea what is a reasonable price look first what Chinese customers pay for a piece of clothing.
